If you have an e-commerce website, then you must need to design your product banner. So you can get a good response from your clients. That is why I make this product banner tutorial. So you get an idea of how to design a product banner using adobe photoshop. Before you begin the design, please read the below important information about this template. So friends, let's start the tutorial without further ado.

Make E-commerce Product Banner Important information:

  1. Size : (Height x wide)- 1000x400 (demo size)
  2. Bleed Area: Now Needed
  3. Resolution : 300 DPI
  4. Color Mode: RGB
  5. Template type : PSD,PDF,JPG,

In the first part of the design, we need to create a blank design artboard document. So we design our website banner on this blank artboard. To make the design artboard document, first, open the adobe photoshop program. Now go to the top bar File>New or press Ctrl+N or just click on Create New to create a design document artboard. After clicking on the Create New, a document creating dialog box will appear, In this dialog box, put the document name "Product Banner Design." You can put any name you want. Now put the banner width 1000px and height 400px and the color mode is RGB. After settings, all information, click on Create

In this part, we will bring the product photo to the design artboard. Before you fetch the product photo on the design artboard, it is necessary to remove the background behind the product. Sorry, I skipped this particular background removing part to save time. However, you can use the pen tool. And make a path around the product except for the background, and delete the path's opposite area. If you want to know how to remove background from the object, you can Follow my other post

However, After dragging the product photo on the design artboard, we have to make a background color according to the product color. To Make a background, click on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer" icon you can see in the above screenshot I have marked. It's a small ball icon. When you click on that icon, you will find some options. Now click the "solid color" from those options. After that, pick a little bit of dark green color than the product. After that, hit ok. Now you can see a fill color 1  is visible In the layers panel. Now Duplicate the fill color 1 by pressing Ctrl+J. And changing the layer color, this time, the color of the copied layer will be the same as the product. We will use this layer to highlight the product. Now make a copy of the product image by pressing ctrl+J and placing it behind the first one, and then adjust the position of the shoe by pressing Ctrl+T

After the placement, we will create highlights and shadows. To create a highlight effect, first, activate the "color fill 1 copy" layer mask by clicking on its layer mask white thumbnail and inverting it by pressing Ctrl+I. When you make invert the layer mask, the layer mask color will change from white to black. Now click on the brush tool and use a soft round brush from the brush properties. Make the brush opacity is 24% and keep the foreground color white and background color black. Now tab the round brush on the background where you need the highlight effect visible. To make drop shadow use the same soft round and make the foreground color black. This time create a new layer and tab one time on the background. And then press Ctrl+T to shrink shadow.

In this particular part, we will create the product photo reflection on the surface. To execute this, make another copy of the product image layer. And drag the layer down to the other two product photo layers. Now make free transform by pressing Ctrl+T and flipping it verticle. Now click on the "Edit" from the top menu bar and click "Puppet Warp". When you click on Puppet warp like a spider web sign will be visible around the product. Now, look at the screenshot, I have marked some red circles. Those are the puppet warp anchor points. To create an anchor point, click inside the spider web sign. After making those anchor points, drag those points up or down as your requirements to adjust the surface product image with the main product image. When the adjustment is ok click on Apply

Now we will fade the edge of the (layer 1 copy 2) surface product image so that it looks like a reflection of the product to perform that first active the surface product layer by clicking on its layer thumbnail. And after that, make a layer mask by clicking on the below layer mask icon. Now invert the layer mask by pressing Ctrl+I. When you make the layer mask inverted. The visibility of the surface product image will be gone. Now click on the brush tool from the photoshop right side menu bar. Now choose a soft round brush from the top brush properties. Make sure the foreground color is white. And the background color is black. Now tab the soft round brush over the surface product image area to get back the edges.

In this specific part, we will add more core shadows of the product, to do this, we have to make a black color fill layer by clicking on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer " icon. Now marge that two product layers so we can add the core shadow at the same time. After marge, the layers, create clipping mask of the color fill layer with the product layer. Now go to the "color fill 1" layer blending options by right click on its layer thumbnail.

When the blending option properties window is visible on your screen, you will see the "blend if" option there. Now edit the "blend if" bar (I have marked the blend if bar by the red circle) direction from right to left. That's means from white to black. You can slice the etch side "blend if" bar by holding the alt key from the keyboard and dragging it any side. Now drag the etch part of the slice "blend if" bar right side to apply more core shadow on the product. If you slice the "blend if" bar, then you will get a smooth core shadow result.

In the design last step, we will draw some shapes using the pen tool and ellipse tool. After making the ellipse shape, we will add a drop shadow under it. To add drop shadow, go to the ellipse layer blending option and check the drop shadow box. Now we will fade the edge of the circle of the ellipse. To do this, use the same method that we have applied before. Make a clipping mask to the ellipse shape. Active the layer mask and click on the gradient tool. Now make the foreground color and background color are black and white.  After that, drag the gradient from bottom to top to apply the fade effect. use the type tool and write all the text you want to add to the banner.
