Hi There, Welcome to Grapocean. Today we present a graphic design tutorial,
how to make a professional ID card PSD design in Adobe Photoshop CC. So If
you want to know How to Make a Professional Id Card Psd Design you can
follow this photoshop tutorial from start to end. This is a corporate-style
id card design. Mostly is this id card can be used for employee
Badge, staff id cards, or other official purpose use.
However, To Make an ID card you need to concentrate on the color and
the shape. Make sure you haven't used many colors in the design. always try
to use there or four colors inside the design. To make the design more
attractive.

Tutorial short brief-

This is a simple shape id card design. Here we first make the design
artboard according to the template information dimension. to do that
open your adobe photoshop by double click on the PS icon. Now
Press Ctrl +N from your keyboard to make a new design
document. After That, fill in the preset details information. that
means the document name, dimension, resolutions, color mode, Etc.
After input, the design document info, click
on Create. to make a design artboard.

Now we have to design the artboard, In this PSD template, we use a
few shapes. To do this we use the photoshop pen tool and draw a shape
on the design artboard right sidebar. After creating the shape we
apply a blue and white color combination gradient effect to the shape.
There is two way to apply a gradient, the first one is when you draw a
shape using a pen tool you will find the shape properties on the top
toolbar. here click on the shape color box and choose a blue color
gradient. and the second way is, after creating the pen tools shape.
double click on the layer thumbnail to open its blending options window from there checkmark the gradient and choose a gradient.
However, you can pick any method that you comfort. Use the same way to
make some custom pen tool shapes.

In this step, we create some drop shadow effects on those shapes.
to do this we need to draw some shapes but this time we need only
paths no shapes. to do this click on the pen tools and change the
pen tool properties shape to the path to make a path. After making
the path press Ctrl+Enter
to make the selection according to the path. Now click on the brush
tool and pick a soft round brush. Now run the brush inside the
selection border. Make sure the foreground color is black. because
we need the drow shadow effect.

Now we will add the employer photo inside the circle. To do this
first create an Ellipse Shape using the photoshop Ellipse tool. Let's draw a
circle. Now bright the employer photo from your computer by pressing Ctrl+O after that make a clipping mask the photo with the
circle.

In this step type the employer name and position bottom of the
employer photo. and type other designs that you want to include on
that id card design. you can add a company QR code if you have
one.
